“We are greatly honored to receive a Bronze Award by The NEWS. The Slim-Temp ASLA/ASLE Unit Cooler marks our sixth consecutive year receiving a Dealer Design Award for product excellence. We are very proud of our engineering team for the innovations they continue to design into our new products for better efficiency, performance, and serviceability,” said Paul Westbrook, HTPG’s director of sales and marketing. “These awards give us an unique opportunity to recognize the outstanding research and development efforts that go into many of the products serving the HVACR industry and the awards issue gives our readers an opportunity to read about innovative installation and service solutions,” stated NEWS Publisher Mike Murphy.
Slim-Temp ASLA/ASLE Unit Coolers are versatile, low height, and compact products that are specifically designed for cooling small walk-in coolers and freezers, and display cases. The slim profile takes up less room and maximizes available shelf space. The units are frequently found in under counter cold displays in grocery stores, restaurants, convenience stores, grab and go displays, plus small walk-in coolers and freezers. The models are compliant with California Title 24 regulations and the new DOE AWEF performance regulations which impact evaporators for Walk-in Coolers and Freezers in boxes less than 3,000 sq. ft.
The units feature energy-efficient Dual Speed EC motors. Fan motors are totally enclosed, permanently lubricated and thermally protected to increase motor life and decrease maintenance. For peace of mind, the motors are also IP67 rated, which means they are protected against dust, sand and water. The smaller diameter tubing reduces total refrigerant charge, and the nozzle type distributor allows use with multiple refrigerants.
For serviceability, electrical connection is at internal terminal blocks located at end opposite refrigerant connections. The improved electrical panel and wiring simplifies installation. The drain pan includes a 7/8” NPT drain fitting installed in the center-rear of the pan for efficient condensate draining, easy field connection, and cleaning. The 3/8” mounting slots aid in proper installation of the unit.
Slim-Temp ASLA/ASLE Unit Coolers are available in two- to six-fan models with air flow spanning from 950 to 2,850 CFM in air or electric defrost configurations for 115V and 208-230V in 60 Hz or 50 HZ operation. Capacities range from 4,600 to 17,300 BTUH. Air defrost models are designed for use in coolers and cases at +25°F. Electric defrost models are designed for use in coolers and freezers at -10°F. Models are UL/cUL certified for use with multiple refrigerants and NSF approved for use in food preparation areas.
