COVID-19: Update for our Customers

April 9, 2020

Dear Valued Partner,

We hope this letter finds you and your families well. It has been an eventful past couple of weeks as we all navigate through this unusual time in our world with the COVID-19 crisis. A lot of us, and I’m sure your teams as well, are working remotely and have spouses and children home from work and school too. It’s a lot of change and it takes all of us working together to persevere and help each other thrive.

As you are aware, commercial refrigeration is an essential business. Our products keep food fresh/viable in grocery, convenience stores and cold storage warehouses. They also keep pharmaceuticals and blood supply fresh. What we do is critical to keeping the US and world populations safe.

Our Alabama manufacturing team continues to work to build products to meet customer demands. We have instituted additional steps to protect the health of our customers and employees, along with meeting our priority of delivering products to the market:

  • We have put in place additional cleaning protocols and frequency at all our locations. This includes gloves, masks, and disinfectants. Finished goods are wiped down prior to boxing or crating for an extra level of protection for our customers.
  • We are practicing social/physical distancing wherever possible.
  • We have a comprehensive action plan in case an employee tests positive for COVID-19.
  • We have instituted stricter controls around who enters the plant.
  • We have strong production and inventory levels at all of our facilities. We are not aware of any supply-chain issues that could affect our shipments as this time, but we continue to work with our Rheem support team to monitor potential concerns.
  • We have a lot of online resources that are available 24/7 on each of our brand websites. Visit our brand websites at Russell.htpg.com, Kramer.htpg.com, Witt.htpg.com and ColdZone.htpg.com for the latest information.

I want to let you know that our non-manufacturing teams at our Alabama, Atlanta, and California sites are mostly on governmental stay-at-home orders. They will continue to work remotely and will still be contacting you via phone, email and web-based conference calls from their home offices.

For up-to-date information on COVID-19, visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's website at www.cdc.gov and your state's governmental website.

We are here to serve you and help you service your customers. Together we will successfully manage through this unprecedented event. Stay safe, stay healthy and know that we are here to help.
